I then traced it again...... onto baking paper ...and added the windows!

I used this to create my centre's about 24 ins by 18 ins.

I imported it into EQ5 and traced over it! flowers finished.jpg

But I couldn't get the widows right on EQ. I printed it out.....on 4 sheets..........and taped it together!

Good morning anyone else a member of " the Quilt Show" ....and have you seen the Patchwork Barn quilt designed by Edyta Sitar? Well........ my American pen friend and I have decided to make our own version.....swapping 6 inch finished blocks as well as making our own...... in different colourways! I am going for blues and cream and she has chosen autumnal colours. Finally I have managed to design the centre blocks on EQ5...mine is based on my own house and hers on a cabin in the mountains she visits regularly. At the moment we are just at the planning stage...we both have holidays planned so will begin after that!

I will share some photos ....when I have any to share!!

Thank you Jayne.I saw it on Pinterest and went searching for it as a download rather than pattern plus postage. I can't remember the designer at the moment...I'll look on the laptop later and let you know! Best Rosemary

Thread: Using EQ(5)
11/07/2018 15:02:21

Hi All...can anyone help me please......please!!

I am attempting to use EQ5 to make a block using a photo of my house as a starting point. With me so far? I have loaded the photo for problem.....but when I start tracing the lines I want....."it" (the line) jumps to where it thinks it should I don't get the straight line I want.....but one that is "wonky" It is something to do with it "snapping to grid" or "snapping to node"....I've managed to get that far....but I can't seem to turn those options off!

I am tearing my hair out at the any suggestions/solutions gratefully received!

many thanks, Rosemary

Good afternoon everyone........I think I mentioned a while back that I had entered a Miniature quilt swap....with the possibility of exhibiting at Houston? And that I wasn't successful? But that Brenda in Oz was? Well even though I wasn't successful with Houston......I have made a great friend in Florida and we have been swapping ideas as well as blocks. We have also swapped little quilts......we both loved "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening" by Robert Frost,,, so we based our entries on that .......the first 2 are from the one Janet sent to me.....

I can't remember now Sylvia......did she follow up on it? I do find it hard making choices you said everyone really needs any help we can give! But everyone has the loan they need in the end....even if not from us!

I'm never sure about the I can't help you there...sorry!

Do you have a design in mind? I would probably go for something simple...especially if you have a deadline to meet!
