If you like jelly roll quilts or working
with scraps you will love this book. The
author gives us some very clever ideas and patterns for using jelly rolls and
offers suggestion for using scrap alternatives.
With 18 quilts to choose from it's
difficult to make a selection, however I have already identified my next two
quilts. "Mocha Swirl" using tones of tans
and brown fabrics with a very simple block assembly would be an excellent easy
to do quilt. "Beach Cottage" with the
clever subtle use of blues soft green and beige tones is an extremely appealing
quilt, and would I am sure be fun to do in almost any colour tones.
This
book would be a great asset to any quilters bookshelf. It's a delight to read with good
illustrations and diagrams and lots of hints and tips. It is a well written book with loads of ideas, a must for the fabric
collectors and scrap enthusiasts.
