The new December issue of Popular Patchwork will be in the shops from Friday 11 November. Take a look here for a preview of the contents.
Welcome to the Christmas edition of Popular Patchwork. It's time to make your presents and finish your decorations with help from your favourite patchwork magazine. Choose from a Christmas table runner by Sally Ablett, an easy advent calendar from Makower, gift bags by Sheilah Daughtree, and a Dresden Plate tree skirt and wreath by Chris Franses. If you need something more substantial, we've got two new quilt projects too! First up is pretty Rosebud Faire by Jean Ann Wright, and secondly Stephanie Pettengell's cheerful Spinning Stars. We're up to part 5 in our Block of the Month quilt, 'Hearts Are All Around' by Sadie Yeomans and Sara Jaskiewicz, and Sadie shares more of her folk art stitchery style in her pretty Festive Canvases. Everyone's included this month, there are two great Kids' Corner projects, a pin cushion and tree decorations for our younger readers.
In our features section, visit Peebles and meet Freida Oxenham at her exhibition or travel to Gee's Bend with Chris Hammacott. Gillian tells us all about the Snowball Block in this month's Building Blocks, and we have a special UFO busting treat for you all.
There are over £600 worth of prizes and giveaways in this issue, including a lovely Elna sewing machine and a Lady Sew and Sew quilt kit to be won. Don't forget to check the 'What's New' section and book review pages for all our prize draws and special offers.
