19 EXHIBITION SITES * 34 EXHIBITIONS * 1000 TEXTILE ART WORKS
Paula Nadelstern, a well-known artist, spent more than two decades studying fabrics and evolutionary links between color, pattern, light and texture of kaleidoscope images.
Colors and geometric patterns in materials that she particularly likes: silk, polyester satin, combined with cotton and hand-dyed cotton satin (by Heide Stoll-Weber) build the basis of her quilts. They are stitched by hand, some of them even hand sewn.
The exhibition will show graphics based on scratches and striped textiles. Some works are purely abstract, others stylized figurative.
The European Patchwork Meeting will have the great honor to welcome for this edition the Belgian Patchwork Association and the Patchwork Gilde of Germany, and many more to come.
Every year, the European Patchwork Meeting organizes an International Patchwork Competition. More than 150 artists from around the world participate each edition. The 38 selected works then travel for a year in various events dedicated to Textile Art.
Registration exclusively on our website from January 9, 2017, Deadline for registration: June 19, 2017 at 11:59pm.
