Hever Castle

Hi has anyone ever been to the quilt show that goes on at Hever Castle in September?

I've been Jill, in fact I was stewarding. It's a good show, not large and is held in a big marquee. Can get a bit muddy underfoot if it rains tho'. Otherwise it is very nice and the grounds are lovely.

I'd second that, Jill! We love our annual visit and in fact, DH even enjoyed the rest of the Country Show that now includes the quilts too. Lots for both children and adults to do, the usual sort of overpriced food but picnics welcome. The castle website has plenty of info re cost, etc. (I'll be using tesco clubcard days out vouchers this year - yipee!)

Sounds a good day out. How much does entrance cost approx. My sister and I are travelling from Sussex home to me in Yorkshire that day, and thought of going there as well on the way home.

Hi Jill, you can pay for entry to just the grounds or grounds + castle - both cover the show. And, yes, there will be traders!

Have to have a chat with sister now, also saw a smaller quilt show and gardens etc on 8/9th sept near dover. Thought about that

I have been to Hever Castle twice now, it's a lovely place to visit! I can see I need to time my next visit to England for later in the year so I can see more of your quilt shows
