It is now ready to go off to Jan to be quilted!

WHY? Apart from the fact that Jan's work is sooooooo lovely and I want to own some? This is true but also because I'm not sure (well I am sure, I couldn't !!) do justice to it. IF I had to do it myself then I think I would take the safe option, ie quilt in the ditch and echo quilting! It would look fine(ish) BUT.........

You get the general idea!!

Jan likes to see the quilt and ponder for a day or so before she starts as well as talk to the owner. I have a few thought but am NOT going to say anything yet! So.........

HOW WOULD YOU QUILT IT? Not "what you can do" but what would you do if you could, really "what would look good?"

Jan will talk us through her ideas but I thought it might be interesting to talk about it BEFORE it happns!!

Best

Rosemary

That's a great job Rosemary. Like you, I wouldn't be able to do justice to it, quilting wise. As I've got very little experience in quilting - apart from the two you mentioned, I don't even know what I would like to see on it - some help I am -eh!?? Sorry about that. I KNOW Jan will do a super job - she really is talented. I'm sure some of the others will have some inspiring ideas !!

I have a feeling I recognise just the odd one or two of these fabrics!!!!!

I think I would do some sort of 'flower' in the centre of each star shape,, then if it needed more meandering in the gaps!

I think that I would do swirls of different sizes to replicate the movement of the Buzz Saws.

Had another look. Old age creeping in! I see it is not Buzz Saw but I would still do swirls.

Dear Rosemary,

I echo the above to make a feature of each centre - to indicate a flower? Like you I would quilt in the ditch and echo that!

That is very pretty Rosemary. I think I would just let Jan go for it, she's brilliant, and whatever the quilt tells her to do will be lovely
