We haven't done one for a while, so howsabout a new strip swap. If you'd like to join in, you need to sign up here, and if we do red and white, you will need to buy a metre of either red or white fabric (tone on tone or predominately red or white) and then cut it across the width into 2 1/2in strips (a la Jelly Rolls). Then post them to me, and I will divvy them all up to everyone so that you will receive a lovely set of 14 red and white strips, to do with what you will. If red and white doesn't appeal, let me know, and I will consider any alternative options. Don't buy any fabric until we've decided what we're going to swap. |

5698 forum posts 1170 photos 4 articles | OH YES PLEASE.........I am in this one. Can I just say to all of you entering into this, please please please make sure your fabric is straight before you go cutting your strips, that way you avoid getting the dreaded 'V' in the middle AND 2 1/2" strips are asked for, not more not less....I know I am picky but have had probs in the past, not necessarily from on the forum swaps, but it is never a bad thing to remind folk of how to cut and to make sure the requirements are followed...to the letter or measurement in this case. ONE MORE thing, sorry Katy.... RED is pretty notorious for colour run, so make sure you wash that red fabric BEFORE you cut it. Pretty please.
Bet no-one else will sign up now....hee hee Edited By Battyjan on 14/06/2012 01:05:07 |

Moderator 5150 forum posts 3391 photos 499 articles | Thanks Jan, that was a good reminder. Sandy, yes you can join in too, we normally ask for SAE from anyone in the UK, and we fudge the postage for anyone overseas, by accepting a little extra fabric or similar to cover the postage. One metre doesn't weigh that much really, so it's not too bad |

| 778 forum posts 90 photos | I hate cutting the full width because of the straightening, and the kink. Even the Moda jelly rolls are often cut badly with a kink. Sorry not joining in this one. |
