Olympic Torch progress

Did you get to see the 'flame' Caz? I am hoping to get a photo of it today as it passes nearby! Liz x

Hi Liz,,

no, I didn't see the 'flame',, I was at work at 6 am. It was due to come right past my road, and the cheese factory. It then came over to Street, where I work, and I think it went down the High Street. This is the clever bit,, I heard it then got in to a car and headed for Glastonbury!!

An hour and half wait was worth it to see the Torch going through our county today. Southwick Trowbridge Wiltshire

How exciting. I am on holiday in Cornwall when it comes to Warrington, so I won't see it. If anyone else sees it on it's travels, take a photo and we can start a thread so we can all see the torch travelling between us at least

Hi Liz, the torch will be coming through the centre of Penrith on the 20th of June...so I'll be on the high street with camera.

I saw the torch in swindon today, although no photographic evidence as I had 4 children with me and was trying to keep them with me and ensure they saw the torch. It was such a fab day! I thoroughly enjoyed it, as did the kiddys (though I think the two year old was more interested in the police motorbikes!).

I was thinking of you Kate, so glad you at least managed to see it. The atmosphere was tremendous wasn't it. And yes the police motorbikes!! so many and why do they have to put their sirens on just as they are passing me,made me jump out my skin haha!

They were pretty loud weren't they Liz? The journey to the town centre by bus was great too, everyone chatting to one another in a totally unbritish fashion! Lol!
I'm glad you got to experience it twice, my cousin saw it yesterday too though I'm not sure where as she's no longer in melksham, she moved to frome last September.
I look forward to the photos from everyone else as it travels around the country
