Now you have made me look at that photo again Katy I see that you are right. They could look very interesting overlaid in some way. Not about to do it though as I really do need another pin cushion here so will get on with that first.

You probably rec ognize it Juliet cos it came from a shop around your (and my old) area. Maybe, anyway.

ThanksKaty, haven't done a thing about my 6th May journal though.

Lovely pincushion Sylvia - what a good use for hexies....mmm may make one myself. Looks like it takes 8 hexies and I know I have a few somewhere, just where is the question.

I just remembered that I also have some little hexie shaped tea cups - who knows, I may be able to do Pam's teacup style pincushion but it won't in the near future as too many UFO's..

Sylvia I really like your pin cushion I think I'll have a go at making one. These hexies are quite addictive once you start making them. Today I've made some needle cases for a charity craft stall. I enjoyed the hand sewing for a change.

They are lovely Aude. Now I will have to make some of those. I do have a big stash of tacked hexes so am in with a flying start. What did you use for the needle holder inners? They would obviously make great little pressies for sewing friends.

I used white felt for the inner and I also put a small piece of wadding between the fabric and the stiff card on the front and back of the cases (hope that made sense?)
