Katy,

It is huge...85" x 105"...it took seven months...not doing it all the time just as and when....I did a lot when that horrible snow was here in 2010....as for the little one it is only 20p size templates but they are hexagon shapes...I don't think I will do any more....love my sewing machine.

Cheerio,

Marlene face 23

We've all been ill this weekend, and my broadband has been broken, so I spent all morning on the phone to BT, who fobbed me off. Anyone thinking of getting BT Broadband, please don't it is awful.

Anyway, I did some of my May technique yesterday between bouts of feeling like death, so here it is. These are 1in squares and diamonds

Saw this on my phone last night Katy. It looks great. Love the way it spins. Mine might be some time coming! I am still trying to complete February #2 and April #1.

Hope that you all feel better soon.

Margaret

I did a bit more yesterday afternoon while Stella and I were ill. I couldn't see properly though, my sinuses were so painful I couldn't wear my glasses, so it wasn't very productive. I basted some pieces anyway.

Has anyone any suggestions for June? I haven't got an idea planned for next month yet

Good grief Jan that one really jumps out at you! I have done that technique (altho not so dramatically) so want to try one of Katy's different shapes.

Love the diamonds and squares Katy, very effective. Hope you and Stella are recovering now. xxxx Sylvia

Katy, your EPP is lovely, the pattern is very effective.

Jan, I'll let you off! I've always liked the 3D effect of tumbling blocks.

Alison.

Well, blow me down, I must have done many hundreds, if not more, hexagons over the years and I have never been aware of that technique of only catching the corners of the seam allowance before. Thankyou Katy and YouTube.

Have just dug out my packet of cut papers, tacked hexagons, bits pieced, etc. etc. Will take a photo tomorrow, lots of them. Now, though, I want to do different shapes and by playing with a ruler I see that I can get the diamonds and triangles which will all fit together by bisecting some of the hexagons! Geometry was never my strong point at school! Oh well, better late than never.

Shall do a/some bookmarks as a starter.
