I thought this month we could take a leaf out of Alison's book, and do some English Paper Piecing. I don't think we'll manage anything quite to match Alison, but I expect this is one of those techniques that we don't do very often.

I'm sure you all know what this involves, but if not, here's a few pointers.

Here's a very basic tutorial, sewing through the paper.

This one shows my preferred method, not stitching through the paper, but just catching the corners. Skip to about 6.33 to see this

Maybe I could use my Craftsy BOM blocks from last month for this? No? Oh well, will have a look and see what I can come up with - need something for this coming weekend!

You can share the ones you've already done Fiona, we'd still like to see them, especially if you're not likely to do any more this month, that sounds fair to me

Hi Katy,

These patchwork balls were made years ago using EPP. I stuffed them with offcuts of wadding which I always save. They've got a bit squashed since I made them, I think something must have been dropped on them at sometime.

Here's a football I made a few years ago, I really enjoyed making this, it was very satisfying. While I was digging it out of Daisy's bedroom, I remembered that she has my old cot quilt on her bed, my Gran made this from brushed cottons, and I can honestly remember it from my cot.

And then, nothing to do with EPP, I thought I ought to take a photo of the frankly bizarre wall hanging that my Mum made when she was pregnant with me. It was on the wall of my bedroom all through my childhood, and then Stella had it, and now Daisy does. It is really quite peculiar, but we are all oddly fond of it! It is a bad photo, the bedroom light is flickering at the moment, but it doesn't look much better when it isn't blurred.
