A personal challenge for everyone

Caz got me thinking this week, when she said she'd never tried a log cabin. What have you never tried? I thought ot might be nice if we all set ourselves a little challenge to try one thing that we've never attempted. You can have all year to do it, and if someone is trying something new, and you're really good at it, we could buddy up and help each other. I'm going away today for the weekend, but have a think about what you'd like to try. You don't have to make a whole quilt, a block will do, just think of something you'd never normally attempt.

I've never tried screenprinting, or a wedding ring block or any kind. I would also love to make some form of orange peel block, a new york beauty or a pickle dish! I know I'd never make a whole quilt from any of these, but I'd love to have one go at each.

Reading patterns would be my thing to master for me. I am hope less thats why I tend to do my own thing.
