My March Journal - one of the things that happened on the 6th.

I was going to print Marian's card but instead I put small press studs on the back of the postcard and attached it to the quilt background.

March 6th

Fantastic margaret and Jan. I have my 6 June - I have taken photos of the transit of Venus. i have a small telescope and used it to focus the sun on some paper. Sun spots too - about 6 I think.

Wow - real astronomy. Now how to put it on fabric?

Cheers

Sandy

I have just got in from a lovely jazz evening in Cala D'Or not far from our place here in Mallorca. Will have to use that for June. Still haven't done May though.

Gosh, Sylvia that was exciting. I went to the dentist for a check-up. Got an optician to do an eye test. (Apparently the NHS is being very hot on free tests under 2 years apart, and can make you pay. Under 16s and over 70s can have a yearly test for free. My last one was 15 months but I was right something had changed so I wasn't charged.) So might have to do something depicting a head. I have got some Michael Miller skull fabric!

An Owl Conservation group was in Oxford. They had a beautiful young Barn Owl, a very small owl and a wonderful Harris Hawk on display. Might have to think about that as well.

April and May still to do.

Margaret

I had a good day on the 6th. It was a rare sunny day spent mostly at the beach, and we visited lots of Cornish relations, and briefly met one of my old flatmates from twenty years ago and his family. It was nice to have something interesting to happen for a change! I wish I'd seen the transit of venus though, I didn't know about it until after it had happened!
