That's a beautiful tree - I especially like the presents underneath - is one for me? (I don't suppose you can label them on that scale!!!) This thread calls on my birthday - that seems such a long time ago!

 

I am doing a Rose of Sharon block - but couldn't find the templates last night - I've laid my hands on them this morning so I'll manage some more progress today

 

Just got to lay my hands on my ROQ notes and sketches now. I definitely had them at the Library 2 weeks ago - I think I've seem them since then.... Hope they turn up before Tuesday evening when the "Nimble Fingers" reconvene!

 

Best get on with my lunch - the quicker I have eaten the quicker I can get to appliquéing(?)

Hi Marlene, I'm working on a Teddy Bear block, actually two identical ones with different coloured bows, and there is a lot of 'quick piecing'....no triangles, just sewing the square on the end with a diagonal stitch and folding it over....makes the triangle so much easier.

I know what you mean...the snowball block is made that way...must give it a go sometime...getting on with reducing my stash at the moment...another double quilt.

Oh Marlene...... to 'reduce ones stash'.... never seems to happen to me. I finish one quilt and realise I have purchased enough fabric in one year to make 5 more.........will keep my quilting buddies in business though....

If I left it until then I would not get the next two wall hangings done...its the time I get busy with quilting service....everybody leaves it until December to get thier Christmas presents quilted....busy busy.
