Another design using my quilting frame and first go at roses and leaves...I am happy with it...used Aurifil variegated thread and this worked a treat in the machine and the quilting...will do this design again.

Dresden Plate with meandering in the background of each plate and centre has a spiral.
The background is in cream aurfil cotton thread and the centre has claret cotton thread to match. I did not quilt the three bar sashing or the nine patch as I thought there was enough quilting and I did not want it to look too flat. Other photos in the Phoenix album... that is what I called it because it was made from left overs of a quilt and a wall hanging and I was in the bin, on the floor and anywhere else I could find the bits for it...all I had to buy was the background for the plates

Hi Aude, glad you liked the Phoenix, it did turn out alright in the end. I am working on a christmas quilt at the moment...I know it is nearly here but I have been busy with my quilting service and customers quilts must come first...I am sewing on the binding and I will post it when it is all done.  Planing the next one as usual.
Merry Christmas
Marlene.

This panel is quilted with an all over close loop design which gives the panel a firm texture and makes it perfect flat drape...more close ups in album.

Close up of wavy cross hatch design done on long arm...I have done this before on my sewing machine in a smaller project, this is the first time I have done it on a big project and on the frame and I like it, will do it again. The quilt (Princess Layla Grace) or should I say throw was made using the disapearing nine patch on this site and backed with a fleece, no wadding, the fleece was then turned over and blanket stitched down, first time I have done this on big scale and although it took some time it was better than hand stitching it down.
