please can any of you that have been to any of the recent shows help whilst I was at Sandown last week I (foolishly) brought an ironing board cover meant to fit all sizes and be the bees knees of ironing board covers. Well guess what when I went to put it on today first bit of pulling to fit it ripped. So I gets out the details that came with it and tried to have look on website but it's non existant.
My question is how do I contact the owners of the stand for a refund can I get details from show organisers there is an address on the leaflet but not sure that that is correct either if the website is anything to go by
Any ideas what I should do ladies
thanks

Dear oh dear...sounds like a real peice of s - - - you got there. I would go straight to the organizers of the events....if there is a phone number use that first, as people have a tendancy to ignore emails that have a complaint attached to them. The organizers should have some information on the stand owners. If they don't, they didn't do their job right.
Good luck anyway.

Good luck!

312 forum posts 67 photos | Just to let you know that yesterday I received a new Ironong Board Cover. It seems you have to let the cover strech in use to fit the bigger boards and I might have been a bit heavy handed when trying to get the 1st one to fit.

Glad you got your replacement cover...but in future...think about it...your a quilter and a seamstress....make your own...that way you can make it any size you want. I haven't bought an ironing board cover in my entire life....I just get the proper stuff to put against the board itself and make a cover that fits with an elastic through the edges. Works for me anyway.

2140 forum posts 177 photos | Hi Maggie,
Just a suggestion my dear.....my last ironing board cover that I made I used 100% cotton satine curtain lining as it has a slight sheen to it...works wonders for moving shirts and other items along the board.
The one that I made before that I used the same quilting cotton that I made a set of curtains for my sewing room. Ironing board cover didn't last too long as I turned the iron on and forgot to stand it up on end, so I had this lovely iron shaped brown mark in the middle of my board....not good when ironing quilt blocks so it had to go.
