Hi All.....I've just had a pm from Jayne......

"I'm currently on m 8th day in the QE Hospital Birmingham, we've got to the bottom of the temperature spikes, quite literally, I have C Diff that has resurfaced while I'm low from a chest something or other, now to find out what that is before I'm allowed home.

They have eventually got my anti sickness drugs sorted with a BIG nudge from my Clinical Nurse Specialist (they really are worth their weight in gold and more). So now I'm eating enough to keep a 6 mo child alive, I managed a whole jug of water today..."

She can read messages on the forum, but not pm's. As far as I can make out....she can read emails!!

Hope you'll be allowed home soon Jayne! best Rosemary

Jayne, sending big hugs and hoping they sort you out very soon. You have obviously been feeling bad for a while and not saying. All I knew was that you had had a cold which I guess caused the "chest something or other". Lots of love xxxx

Thank you for posting it for me Rosemary, and your thoughts Carol and Sylvia.

Well I've been moved to a different ward this afternoon, not for my benefit but that of another patient who needed my bed in the oncology ward. The upshot is that I'm now on the haematology ward and they will understands my drug regimes better.

Well we think that we've sorted out the chest problem, it's a fungal chest infection, s no more pruning trees and fetching the ivy of the old fruit trees for me now....

Hubby brings my laptop in every other night for a bit of an update on the world.

I get to see your postings on my emails but not any pictures, so a good tease is when a pic is posted and you all comment on it

Anyway time to have more meds, nitey, nite, nite.

sorry to hear you are unwell. lets hope the care you deserve soon gets you back on your feet. Hubby got a fungal chest problem after pulling old ivy off the wall. We often overlook fungal spores sadly.

take care.

Jayne - hope things are finally on the up for you this morning. You're having a rotten time of it. You need to be vacating it ,as I am going to be stealing a hospital bed over here in France tomorrow - perhaps they have to match one for one even between here and the UK!! They have finally decided that I need some in depth hospital testing to try to get some answers as to why I have all these seizures, fall around all over the place and forget absolutely everything all the time - among many other stupid things. So, you'll get peace and quiet from me for the next 4/5 days - I think .

Just saw a good "catch phrase" - maybe some of you already know it. It is on the same basis as a UFO - it is

STABLE - STash Accuulated Beyond Life Expectancy!!! I'm pretty sure we all have that!

Margaret has asked me to post this photo.....it was a "get well" message from Carol to Denise and she was so pleased with it! Also some really great news on the health front......Denise has been told that the cancer has gone completely and that she will not need any chemo or anything else!

Margaret......lets hope the doctors can sort you out and Jayne that you will be allowed home very soon!!

Best Rosemary
