Hi Kim....... I'm sure I have some blocks around somewhere! Are you bothered about the size?

Had a super trip to Salisbury today, with Sheila! Fabricland of course..... mostly quilting fabric....of course..... but a few other things as well! Sheila is going to make a dress....... and me....... what do you think about this......

It is actually much bright in "real life" and I know what I intend to do with it........ but any ideas?

Best Rosemary

Love it Rosemary. Is it very textured with some wool? How much do you have?

My most adored colors. The girls in my group laugh at me. I can't see past them!!! As Sylvia says, what sort of fabric/texture is it? Winnie/Margaret xx

Hi Kim, had a look for orphans this afternoon. One thing I do have is a top made with 49 five and half inch squares. They are plain yellow, plain green and a modern splodgy fabric with green and yellow ++

I made it thinking to finish as a kids quilt but decided it wasn't suitable. Can pop it in post if you think it might help your efforts. Maybe you could cut it up and put back together in a whacky way??

If you want it please pm me your address. xxx

p1020076.jpgIve been a bit quiet, we had a 30th wedding anniversary party last weekend, and I was concentrating on that, unfortunately the turnout was not as high as we expected, everyone seems to have gone down with a nasty cold. however we had a great time, with lots of space for dancing, and large 'doggy bags' all round. then on monday we both succombed to the same lurgy. hopefully, next week will see us back to normal.

Rosemary, I would make a skirt or waistcoat, ot use it for collar or pocket flaps etc.

Kim, I might have a couple of orphans, of odd shaped houses if thets any good.

Maria.

partyCongratulations on your 30th Anniversary Maria and hubby party. Your cake is stunning, such a work of art but what a shame you came down poorly afterwards. Hope you both are feeling much better now and can enjoy your cake.

Congratulations Maria and to your dh too. A pity that you have been poorly afterwards. Love the cake with it's pearl.

It is our Golden Wedding anniversary next month. With no family or friends to share it with we have been trying to think of a way to celebrate. I fancied afternoon tea at Blenheim Palace but they are already fully booked. Thought of lunch there but no tables for 2 available! Back to the drawing board.

Margaret
