We're all addicted and a little bit crazy - but it's a mad world out there so I'll we're not bad after all.
I must be addicted. Peter asked me 'how much meat did you buy?"
'"One & a half meters" I said !!!!!!

Nice to meet you on site... enjoy the banter, I do.......
Hi Brenda
Your husband must be used to it by now but I bet that raised a smile...and I'm glad it's not just me...
"How much of the sausages madam?"
"OOh - let me see, about ½ metre should be enough! What other colours do you have them in?"
(Oops! Meant ½ lb and flavours......)I think the men in the white coats will cart me off in the end with me measuring up their coats to use in a quilt.....

I did have a laugh at multi coloured sausages!
I'm busy planning my "book" post card for you. This is a tricky one. I have af ew ideas but who knows what the finished result will be.
![]() I'm looking forward to receiving the charm squares. I think mine will be green but I really don't mind. 45 squares should be enough to make two bags - different ones of course but knowing me the plans will change a few times before I get down to sewing.
Must get on with lunch, the family are coming down today.

See what I mean? I think I'm a bit gaga
getting my sausages and fabric mixed up.We have discussed in the past about a joint trip to The Priory in UK for Fabric Addiction.....but couldn't bear to be parted from the fabric in the end...

![]() Hi Brenda
It's exciting to know you are doing a postcard for me... can't wait to see it. I have Brenda H as my postcard receiver and have a few good ideas but nothing on paper as yet.
I wished I could join in the swap but I work full-time; I'm still looking after my son since he fractured his pelvis; my 5 yr old gdaughter is due to go into hospital soon for tonsilectomy and I have my own health problems to sort out so time is not there for me at moment but maybe in the future.
I also do not (for some strange reason) ever choose greens but since NN said she'd like to do a copy of the quilt I made for charity in greens, I'm looking forward to seeing this. I'm also making myself consider the green colourways too now in fabrics. I am in the middle of a Batik quilt top at the moment and it's so out of my colour comfort zone that sometimes I look at it and I love it, and other times I think it is too loud and showy.
I'm looking forward to all the variations that you guys will use the charm squares for...
Have a lovely day
Marian

I wanted to send you a private message, but apparently you don't have a public profile.
What is the name of the fabric shop you go to in Leeds? My step-daughter lives in Leeds and since we are planning a weekend over there to allow DH to do some decorating...I'm going to have her take me for some retail therapy.
Thanks,
Kim

The shop is called Samuel Taylors. In the basement is all the fabric. It is not to far from the market. If you just ask I am sure some one will tell you. I am no good at giving directions. They have a lovely place just near skipton if ever you are that way.
Plus there is a few stalls in the market, I once got some Laura Ashley material for £2.00 a yard.
There are 7 of us going to this shop soon, not sure we will all fit in, it's not that big.
Bye for now Pam

13 forum posts 15 photos | Hi my name is Helen (postiebelle) and I have just joined the web site. I haven't done as much patchwork as some of you but I am fascinated in the postcard idea. I have been involved with ATC swapping and enjoyed it a lot and would like to know more about the postcard swaps. I think if I start small then who knows what might happen.
