Block of The Month Quilt

Hello Tessa!

Ruth rang me this afternoon and said she'd met you! She isn't a quilter (yet) but she has made some bags for my morsbag pod (www.morsbags.com). I went to school with Ruth - she is probably my oldest friend, and lives in Carlisle now. We spoke on the phone a couple of days ago, and she said she was going shopping in Penrith, so I told her about the shop. How nice that it was a day when you were working! I'll have to come and meet you myself next time I visit her. I'm sure we can convince her to start sewing - actually, she made me a blanket stitched applique coat when we were about 17 so I know she's got potential!! I'm sure you've got a new customer -she was very impressed with the shop! Thanks for showing her around!

It was lovely to meet Ruth....and yes I think we can convert her to a full time quilter.  I work two days a week but the days change weekly.  If you plan on coming through Penrith on your way to Carlisle or even meeting Ruth in Penrith, just send me a note and we can meet for coffee....there is a lovely little cafe right next door to the shop. 

I'm really enjoying these chat forum pages.  What a fantastic way to meet new people.

You've certainly worked out the Gallery! I moved your additions form my album to a new one, and then realized that you'd already done it, so I'm sure you're ok with it now.

To add pictures to the forum posts, you need to click the "tree" button in the actual message editor, which is essentially the box you type in. There is a forum guide at http://www.popularpatchwork.com/news/article.asp?UAN=14 which might help.The link for this is at the top of the forum page "Forum Updates - Help Guide" but it's not obvious.

I've written a new piece for the next edition of Popular Patchwork to try make things clearer.  Please let me know if something specific is confusing and I'll try to explain it more sensibly.

Simultaneous posts and my laptop battery failing coincided! 

You can post your singing garden images here by posting a message and clicking the tree icon (between broken link and HTML in menu). Then choose to upload an image from My albums (Or shared albums - depending on whether your images are now in one of my albums - Barbara Mcinnis or Babs Blocks (yours)).

I've just noticed that the albums are changing again, so I'll post this and wait to see what happens! 

As an aside - I'm quite impressed with this North West of England contingent! It's  nice  to see my part of the country contributing!
