Hi All...I have started to upload my photos.....starting with the miniature ones.....here is the "Best in Show"....by Philippa Naylor........

dsc04273.jpg

It's called "Measure for Measure"...........it's about 12 ins square and there are some close-ups in the Album. It is machine and hand appliqued with free-motion machine quilting (on a domestic machine, hand guided) with some hand embroidery, 100% cotton fabric with 100% silk thread.

More to follow! Rx

Just one more for you to admire....this is by Janet McElroy....who many of you may remember. She has used fabric by Maggie Birchenhough who sadly died last year! Rx

Thanks Rosemary, will look each day to share with you all.

SO glad you saw Katy there and that she seems better.

Fabulous miniature and lovely to see a quilt by Jan.

Thank you Rosemary. Love those rouleau loops. They must have been tiny! Looks as if it might have been FMQd first and then appliqued, but it would have to be really for the Trapunto. Mind boggles at the size. Fantastic miniature quilt.

Jan's quilt was well spotted. I must come up with a design for my stash of Maggi's fabric.

Glad that Katy made it to the show and that you managed to see her.

Margaret

We were admiring this quilt when this lady introduced herself as the maker! She was thrilled to be "Highly Commended" and said that it had taken her 2 u=years to make. Rx

Sorry I missed meeting up with you ladies on Thursday. I had hubby in tow and we didn't arrive until 1pm. I had a nice day but wish we got there in the morning as I missed quite a lot.

I love Philippa Naylors work, I have done a couple of classes with her and her free motion quilting is stunning. I love her small pieces as they are so intricate.

Claire x
