How are you getting on with the mystery quilt, Pris?.

I have nearly finished the top, but I won't get the whole thing finished until after my week away. Day off tomorrow so I'll be able to work on it, then I'll probably post a photo of it.

This heat is just too much!

Hi Caz,

You move quickly well done.

Busy week this week.  I have just managed to piece one of the four blocks.  I need to complete 4 for the size I am doing.  Will not be able to do much more this week.

Look forward to seeing yours coming together.

Gosh can see the logic of the pieces now and I think very clever the way it has been given out in the magazine to keep the mystery going.  My play around was nowhere near !  I think it will look very good when completed.

Pris.

Hi All,

Guess what? I have finished the mystery quilt and all I need do is to quilt it, but that will have to wait till after my holiday. This was a bit of a challenge for me with all the small pieces. Well, what do you think? This question being asked by someone who's only critic has been me for a long time. I am glad that I did the small one though. How would others quilt this?

Caz.

Congratulations on a lovely finish Caz.  Your mystery quilt turned out beautifully.

I'm no expert so will leave the quilting advice to others more knowledgeable than me!

Thanks, Margaret.

The quilting will have to wait anyway, so I've got some time to think about it.

Pris,

thanks for your comments. After all the deliberation about colours, I am pleased with them. I tend to worry about colours, but in the end they all come right.

Hello.  I am Sue, and I am the person responsible for the mystery quilt.  I hope you like the finished result?  I hope everyone will follow Caz's example and post photos of their finished quilts.

Pris, well done on your guess at what the block is going to look like, and Caz, your colour choices were great, and I think it looks stunning.  Thanks for sharing it with us.

Thanks for that, Sue.

I want to quilt it, but not sure how. It could be a practice piece for some free motion quilting(which I haven't done before), but I'll wait till after my holiday.

Caz, I think free-motion curves or stipple would look good.  What about using a variegated purple/lilac thread to do it?

 Have a good holiday

 Sue
